Friendship explores the themes of belonging, legacy, and connection within Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Drawing on personal and generational ties to the fraternity, the project examines how inherited relationships evolve into meaningful friendships. Inspired by the fraternity’s motto, “Friendship is Essential to the Soul,” this body of work shifts focus to a lived experience, capturing shared moments of trust, brotherhood, and mutual support. The photographs reflect how chosen bonds extend beyond bloodlines, forming a collective identity rooted in loyalty, growth, and community. Friendship also redefines legacy as an ongoing, evolving process shaped by generational overlap and new connections, illustrating how history, identity, and belonging continue to develop within the fraternity.
