These mock movie posters examine how lighting, composition, and typography influence a viewer’s emotional response before the story even begins. The Awakening leans into horror aesthetics—fogged glass, silhouettes, and distressed text—to create tension and a sense of the unknown. The Heart employs intimate portraiture and dramatic shadows to convey themes of vulnerability and the blurred boundaries of love. Through both designs, I experiment with atmosphere and visual mood, using design elements to suggest the narratives that exist beyond the frame.

The ghostly hands and distorted glow convey a sense of claustrophobic dread, while the blood-red title text enhances the unsettling atmosphere. This design focuses on tension and anticipation, showing how composition and color can drive emotional storytelling.
